Privacy Policy

Effective: October 3, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what information Hire the Cat processes, why it is used, and the choices available to you.

1. Information we process

Account information. When you create or use an account, our authentication provider may provide us with identifiers and profile information such as your email address and display name.

Billing information. Stripe processes payment-card and billing details. Hire the Cat receives billing-related identifiers and subscription information, such as Stripe customer/subscription IDs, plan, payment status, and billing-period information. We do not receive or store your full card number.

Product activity. We may store token addresses you scan or watch, scan results, watchlists, alert preferences, generated alerts, usage counts, saved projects, tool requests, and other information needed to provide your account features.

Technical information. Our hosting, security, authentication, and payment providers may process normal technical information such as IP address, browser/device details, request timestamps, cookies or similar session technologies, and security logs.

2. How we use information

We use information to authenticate users, provide and personalize product features, enforce plan limits, process subscriptions, monitor watched tokens, generate alerts, prevent abuse, troubleshoot errors, protect the service, respond to support requests, and improve reliability.

3. Service providers

Hire the Cat uses third-party providers to operate the service. These currently include Clerk for authentication, Stripe for payments and billing management, Cloudflare for hosting, database, security, and AI infrastructure, Helius for Solana blockchain data, and DexScreener for public market/pool information. Requests sent to blockchain or market-data providers may include public token addresses or other public query data needed to return results.

4. Payment data

Payments are entered on Stripe-hosted or Stripe-provided payment pages. Stripe’s handling of payment information is governed by Stripe’s own privacy and security practices. Hire the Cat does not ask you to send card details through support email.

5. Wallet and blockchain data

Public blockchain addresses and token addresses are public information. If you submit a token address, we may store and process it to perform scans, maintain watchlists, compare snapshots, and create alerts. Do not submit seed phrases or private keys. They are not required for Hire the Cat.

6. Retention

Retention varies by data type and operational need. We may retain account, subscription, usage, scan, watchlist, alert, security, and support records for as long as reasonably needed to provide the service, maintain security, resolve disputes, meet legal obligations, and enforce agreements. Third-party providers may maintain their own records under their policies and legal requirements.

7. Your choices

You can manage or cancel a paid subscription through the dashboard. You can remove watched tokens through Cat Watch. For requests involving access, correction, or deletion of account information that Hire the Cat controls, contact unemployedcat.sol@gmail.com. Some records may need to be retained where required for legal, accounting, fraud-prevention, or security reasons.

8. Security

We use access controls and third-party infrastructure intended to protect account and billing workflows. No online service can guarantee absolute security, and you are responsible for keeping your own account and email credentials secure.

9. Children

Hire the Cat is not intended for children under 18. We do not knowingly offer paid accounts to children.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the service or providers change. The effective date at the top of this page will show the latest revision.
